In 2000, the ON & OFF Youth Association of Logroño was created as a non-profit organization to bring together all former and current students of the local theater school: Dinámica Teatral. The main objective of ON & OFF is to promote cultural and artistic initiatives, always trying to create a multicultural framework for the participation, understanding and inclusion of all its members, the Logroño community and the youth in general.
The main objectives of the organization are to bring together young people interested in theater and drama using learning groups, experimentation and presentation, organizing cultural and recreational activities for young people.
Besides these objectives, every year the organization’s board of directors proposes new activities and challenges related to theater and drama that can be considered interesting to the members of the organization. These challenges or new engagement opportunities offer all ON & OFF members new ways to participate and learn, which not only improve their theater skills, but also help them develop their personal competencies, self-initiatives and entrepreneurship.
Among the highlights of the local activities are intensive weekend courses with teachers from Dinamica Teatral, the theater school, actors who come to present their work at the Black Room – Café Theatre, young people who have received training in some areas of theatrical arts knowledge and who presents it to partners and non-partners.
