The European Academy of Neurology (EAN) is a non-profit organization that unites and supports neurologists across Europe. Currently, 47 European National Neurological Societies as well as 2,300 registered individuals are members of the EAN. Thus, the EAN represents more than 45,000 European neurologists.

EAN was founded during the Joint European Neurology Congress in June 2014 by the former European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS) and the European Neurological Society (ENS). The current chair of the EAN is Professor Claudio Pasetti (Bern, Switzerland). The head office of EAN is located in Vienna, Austria

EAN organizes the annual European Neurology Congress, which takes place in different European cities and is attended by nearly 6000 international participants.

In 2014 the EFNS-ENS Joint Conference on European Neurology was held in Istanbul, Turkey. The birthplace of the European Academy of Neurology.

This Scholarships are available for students from EAN member countries and  low and lower-middle income countries.

Ean Autumn Fully Funded Scholarship in Greece:

Experienced neurologists and subspecialists will explain how to handle specific clinical presentations and symptoms, including an update of relevant diagnostic and treatment approaches for key cases in related areas. Local speakers will attempt to bring in a patient in order to demonstrate symptoms in real-life case scenarios.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications:

To be eligible for Ean Autumn Fully Funded Scholarship in Greece:

  1. Clinical neurologists in training who have not yet completed their residency/clinical specialty training.
  2. Members of low- and middle-income countries can apply for a travel grant.
  3. Submit a short letter of intent, why the person wants to participate including why the travel grant is needed.
  4. Previous scholarship recipients cannot apply again.
