The Awaji Youth Federation program aims to provide fellows with intellectual stimulation as well as increase the skills they need to successfully complete the challenge and program components. As a rare group of international talent found in a rural setting in Japan on the island of Awaji. The AYF Fellowship provides participants with a unique opportunity to test their skills and interests and get outside their comfort zone. From the perspective of a new country, new culture and surrounded by AYF Fellows from all over the world, Fellows have the opportunity to take time out and rediscover themselves.

AYF Fellows will be given the opportunity to solve specific problems in the form of creative challenges presented to the Awaji Youth Federation by a group of Japanese companies, government and institutions. NGOs, as well as selecting Creative Challenges to reflect themes of AYF’s four activities, give fellows an opportunity to apply some of the lessons learned from the lecture series.

Individual fellows may also apply to manage their own group challenges or benefit from their participation in this component of the fellowship through the pursuit of an individual challenge. Acceptance criteria and regular progress reviews will be included in these activities to ensure overall alignment with the fellowship’s objectives.

Through a hands-on training, the AYF Fellowship will require participants to participate in supporting, developing, and creating initiatives to lead and deliver results for the AYF and Pasona Group across many core areas. As much as possible, project work will be broken down to reflect the interests and activities of the fellows, to support their work in challenges and to participate in the lecture series, so as to create overall synergies and increase time and effort. Personal all year round.

For those wishing to develop a lasting relationship with Japan, AYF is the ideal vehicle for developing the insight, experience and most importantly language skills which are a prerequisite for any other career either on Awaji Island or elsewhere in Japan.
