The aim behind this cultural exchange program is to promote economics in various fields empowering its undergraduate students and to contribute to local and global spheres and life in the community.

The goal of the UGRAD program is to improve mutual understanding between the United States and other nations. It achieves this by encouraging and enhancing the participants’ cross-cultural, intellectual and leadership capabilities. It also helps pupils form social networks with surrounding people and American host institutions.

The US Department of State sponsors the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program with US Government funding and administered by World Learning.

Each year, the US Department of State selects approximately 250 promising young leaders from nearly 60 countries around the world to participate in a one-semester exchange at US colleges and universities.

Program participants take courses alongside their peers in the United States, engage in community service, and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the twenty-first century.

Participants leave the United States with the tools to become leaders in their professions and communities. Global UGRAD graduates go on to receive Fulbright scholarships, obtain prestigious international internships, and work in business and government in their home countries and regions.
