The University of Calgary (U of C or UCalgary) is a public research university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The University of Calgary began in 1944 as the Calgary branch of the University of Alberta, established in 1908, before being founded into a separate, independent university in 1966. It is made up of 14 colleges and over 85 institutes and research centres.
The main campus is located in the northwest quadrant of the city near the Po River, and the smaller southern campus is located in the city center.

Notable former students include Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, inventor of the Java computer language James Gosling, Uber co-founder Garrett Camp, astronaut Robert Thirsk, and Lululemon Athletica founder Chip Wilson. The university has produced over 170,000 alumni residing in 152 countries.

The University of Calgary International Entry Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship that recognizes the outstanding achievements of an international student who has begun undergraduate studies at the university in the fall semester. The scholarship criteria include not only academic excellence, but also achievements outside the semester.
Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications:
To be eligible for University of Calgary Funded Scholarships to Study in Canada:
- International students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
- Applicants must be international students enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program beginning in the fall semester.
